Who is Julie?
My name is Julie and I have traveling to Smolensk for the last 5 summer. I
have always been part of the United Methodist Church over the years I have been serving on the Missions Committee,
Youth Leader, ESL teacher, and Volunteers In Missions (VIM) with St. Peter's UMC in Ocean City. I was a teaching in
Pleasantville, NJ for the last six years and loved it. As a member of VIM, I was able to meet the children
in Smolensk and fall completely in love with them. Their smiles will warm your heart! The joy of seeing them each
day is still rich in my memory. I was given so much more than I could even think of giving them. I have great
friends and family in Smolensk and I would love for you all to meet them all so you can have this feeling inside of you.
This year I will be living in Smolensk, Russia to teach English and help with the growth of the UMC.
Please keep me in prayer!
Who is Rebecca?
Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am a 3rd grade teacher in Northern New Jersey.
My home church is Bridgewater United Methodist, where I am a Youth Group advisor, member of the Mission Committee, and sing
in the Praise Band.
Last year I had a life changing experience when I went on the Volunteers in Mission trip
to Smolensk, Russia. The children from the Dubrovinskaya Children's Home changed my life,
and have helped make me a better person. They inspire me to do my best and be the best person that I can be! They
are always in my thoughts and I am anxiously awaiting the time when I will see them again.
The children will overwhelm you with their love, their hope, and their promise.
Come and see what you can offer them!
